In 1983 “Rocket Science” was not yet fashionable. Despite this Angela joined Philips & Drew/Union Bank of Switzerland as an analyst and fund manager subsequently moving to trading and becoming head of derivatives and head of proprietary trading.

Angela Joined KPMG in 1993 leading and growing the Financial Sector Risk and Strategy Consultancy Practice to a 60 consultant business. Angela’s consulting experience covered a wide range of strategy development and risk management issues, including several trading ‘catastrophe’ situations. In this period Angela created the Three Lines of Defence governance model that is now the most widely used in the industry and many new approaches to quantitative risk rating, some of which are still regarded as best practice. Angela joined HBOS plc in 1999 as General Manager Finance and Chief Financial and Operational Risk Officer, Chief Actuary and Chief Credit Risk Officer. In this period Angela designed NORA (New Operational Risk Approach) the widely respected new approach to achieving effective operational risk management and led Basel 2, implementing one of the first effective Economic Capital Frameworks within a global FS firm. Angela held the largest personal lending authorities in HBOS in all relevant operating divisions. She was effectively the deputy CFO.

Angela joined LV= in 2008 as General Manager Finance, Chief Actuary, Chief Financial Risk Officer, Actuarial Function Holder and With Profits Actuary. Angela transformed Actuarial, risk and governance capabilities and steered the group through the financial sector crisis, creating significant additional solvency through revising risk and actuarial models and innovative financial engineering. She was also effectively deputy CFO and CEO of the Royal National Pension Fund for Nurses business.

GlobeRisk is focussed on finance, risk (which includes governance, controls and business model), strategy and Actuarial matters. At GlobeRisk, Angela created TERM (Total Enterprise Risk Management) the widely acclaimed approach to firm-wide risk management

Angela has substantial experience of acquisitions, corporate finance and regulation. Angela has operated at Board and Senior Executive level for more than 15 years

Graeme joined Friends Provident as a Systems Analyst/Programmer in 1987.

Then in a bid for international experience he became the Computer Administrator for the Engan Provincial Government in Papua New Guinea, after almost three years with the provincial government he returned to Friends Provident.

Once more the call of the wild saw him working in the first of two stints in Bhutan. This was working as a lecturer in Information Systems for the Royal Institute of Management.

Graeme then move to New Zealand where he was the Programme Leader & Lecturer in Applied Information Systems in UCOL, Palmerston North.

In 2000 Graeme moved from New Zealand returning to Bhutan as senior lecturer in Computer Science at Sherubtse College.

Since 2006 Graeme has been a freelance developer, trainer and ICT strategic planner, working in Afghanistan, Bhutan, Papua New Guinea and USA.
